Day 1: Arusha-Lake Manyara National Park
After your safari briefing, leave the hotel in Arusha town and drive on Tarmac Road 130 kilometers to Lake Manyara National Park. The lake occupies a large portion of the park; the forest starts just when you cross the park gate along the base of the Great Rift Valley; and the hot springs are located to the west of the park. The park is home to the famous tree-climbing lion as well as buffalo, giraffe, hippo, baboons, flamingos, ostriches, geese, and so many more. After your picnic lunch, take off for an afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon, drive to Kizumba Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, head towards the Serengeti National Park by way of the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, you descend into the heart of wild Africa, into the Serengeti National Park, with its endless plains rolling in the distance as far as the eye can see. You will head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. The Seronera River provides a valuable water source to this area of the park and attracts wildlife, including most of the Serengeti species. You will then arrive in time to enjoy lunch and then head out for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the Seronera Camp.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will enjoy an early morning game drive along the Sogore River circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River. This is a good location for spotting lions, gazelles, topi, ostriches, and cheetahs. The Visitor Center, close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites, is well worth a visit after this morning game drive. This nicely designed center offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop where you can purchase informational leaflets and maps of the area. In the afternoon, you will follow the Kopjes circuit, going counterclockwise around the Maasai Kopjes. On this tour, you will have the chance to view more lions. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the Seronera Camp.

Day 4: Serengeti Plain, Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop over at Olduvai Gorge, which boasts history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here that the anthropologists, Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey, discovered the skulls of Nutcracker Man and Handy Man, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. You will then arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and then descend over 600 meters into the crater to view the wildlife on a half-day safari tour. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the Ngorongoro Simba Campsite.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation consists mainly of Acacia woodland, giant African baobab trees, and huge swamp areas. Both the river and the swamps act like magnets for the local wildlife during the Tanzanian dry season. Tarangire National Park is home to three rare species of animals, the Greater Kudu, the Fringe-eared Oryx, and the Ashy Starling. After a picnic lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay are in the Tarangire National Park, Tarangire Campsite.
