Day 1: Dar es Salaam and Mikumi National Park.

Pick up from the airport, hotel, or ferry terminal and drive to Mikumi National Park, which is approximately 6–7 hours drive. Stop in Morogoro town for lunch and proceed to Mikumi National Park. On arrival in Mikumi National Park, you will start with an afternoon game drive. Mikumi National Park is Tanzania’s fourth-largest national park and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam.

Within its 3230 sq. km, it's set between the Uluguru Mountains to the north and the Lumango Mountains to the southeast. Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons, zebras, leopards, crocodiles, and many more, just to mention a few.

Day 2: Mikumi and Dar es Salaam.

Early morning game drives in Mikumi National Park and drive back to your cottage for a late breakfast at 10:00. After breakfast, drive back to Dar es Salaam. On arrival, you will be dropped off at the hotel or ferry terminal for the last ferry to Zanzibar or the airport for your flight back home.
