Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and begin the drive toward Materuni Village, located on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The journey passes through banana plantations and rural Chagga communities, offering scenic views of the countryside.

Upon arrival in Materuni, you will meet a local guide and begin a guided walk through the village and surrounding farmland. The walk to Materuni Waterfalls takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, following a lush trail through coffee and banana plantations with panoramic views of the valley below.

As you approach the waterfall, you will hear the sound of rushing water before reaching the impressive cascade, which drops approximately 80 meters into a natural pool. You may choose to swim in the cool mountain water or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful setting while taking photographs.

After returning to the village, you will participate in a traditional Chagga coffee-making experience. Local villagers will demonstrate the entire process from roasting green coffee beans over an open fire to pounding and brewing fresh organic coffee. Guests are invited to join in the grinding process while enjoying traditional songs and cultural interaction. You will then taste the freshly prepared coffee along with a local lunch.

Following lunch, you will depart Materuni and drive toward Chemka Hot Springs (Kikuletwa Hot Springs). The drive takes approximately 1–1.5 hours through open plains and rural landscapes.

Upon arrival at Chemka Hot Springs, you will find a natural oasis surrounded by fig trees and clear blue geothermal waters. The water is warm, refreshing, and perfect for swimming. You may relax in the shade, float in the calm waters, or swing into the pool from the rope swings. The setting is tranquil and ideal for unwinding after the morning activities.

In the late afternoon, you will begin your return journey to Moshi or Arusha, arriving in the early evening.
